James Blunt sold his sister on eBay to help her out of a bind.
She ended up with a husband out of the deal.
Blunt told British GQ that he had an eBay addiction three years ago before he was famous and all. So when his 27 year-old sister couldn’t make a funeral in Southern Ireland due to transit strikes, a lightbulb went off in James’ little nogin. Why not have an auction begging someone with a helicopter to fly her there?
The ad read,
“Damsel in distress seeks knight in shining armor! Desperate to get to a funeral in Southern Ireland, please help!”
The winning bidder was a well-to-do London man with a chopper. The two are planning to marry this summer.
I can only guess what their ’song’ will be. I won’t even say it, because it’ll get stuck in your pretty little heads.
I’m thinking of holding my own auction;
Will anybody pay to have James Blunt flown out somewhere over the Atlantic and, well, just leave him there?
