Victoria Beckham and Katie Holmes had lunch at the Mondrian Hotel’s Asia de Cuba restaurant in Hollywood recently.
Holmes paid the tab, but neither woman left a tip for the waitress. The server ran after the women to try and collect but she was stopped by Victoria’s massive security entourage.
Victoria has a reputation for a being a cheap ass even though she dons a different pair of $4000 shoes daily.
David Beckham recently said about his wife,
“She will tell me in a restaurant just to get a cheap bottle of wine, so I tell her it only cost $30 when really it cost much more. She’s the sensible one in the relationship who watches where the money goes.”
Oh gawd, are you serious? The bitch parades around in haute couture but refuses to tip a waitress who works MUCH harder than she ever will? I have a serious problem with that. Katie paid the tab, therefore Posh should have left a nice hefty tip. To eat a free meal and then not leave a gratuity is a HUGE restaurant faux pas. Way to make friends in LA, fembot.
I bartended and was a server for 7 years and let me tell you, it’s not easy work. I would be pissed too if some bitch strolled in wearing an outfit that cost more than I would make in half a year, and didn’t tip.
Remember, if you can’t afford to tip…you can’t afford to go out. Yes, that means you too Posh!

I’ve been a server for 21 years (people have done less time for murder!), and I can tell you right now; Posh is about to get blacklisted in Tinseltown. There is no excuse for not leaving a tip, especially if you’re rich. And I’m not being greedy, either. 15 to 20% is fine. I’ve heard some people have the nerve to tell me, ‘if your boss doesn’t pay you enough per hour, that’s your problem’. Listen, fuckers, that’s the way the system works. If you don’t like it, go to McDonald’s. Funny, but I used to work with a girl that would take bad tips and GIVE THEM BACK. She would go to the customer and say, ‘here, you obviously need this more than I do.’ That girl had balls.

I have heard enough of that ‘I am European, I don’t tip.’ She knows full well what she was doing. Hugh Grant once gave me a 100. bill for a drink on a really busy night. She thought she could get away with it. She didn’t.
Maybe their waitress was the reason they left no tip. Sometimes I run across someone who should not be working with the public when I go out for dinner, and when my service sucks I leave nothing…and when the waitress makes one of those nasty ass faces I remind them that a tip isn’t mandatory…it is a gesture and actually stands for TO INSURE PROMPT SERVICE.
In all fairness,how much do you tip for a slice of lemon,a lettuce leaf (and if they were really stuffing themselves) and a couple of tic tacs?

That is what I am saying. This is my point of view. When a celebrity like Posh comes into a restaurant or bar, they have bodyguards. They have all sorts of demands with what they order to eat and drink. Even if they only have water they want it at some absurd temperature.
There is NO way they received bad service. It didn’t happen. Sarah said that Katie paid the bill.
HOWEVER; if you you are a bad/ no tipper, you are f*cked in LA. There really is no worse sin. You come in with your big bag of bullshit, throw some cash towards the servers, hey its all better baby.
No tip means game on. Even if you have the most absurdly bad service and left a gnerous tip, it won’t happen again. We will fight over who gets to you. If I knew I had to wait on her or Katie, I wouldn’t do it. Then someone else shitty would do it, then someone shittier would do it. This is how blacklisting happens. Same thing for the lovely ladies that take reservations, concierges that book events.
I am sure that you guys have your opinions about this but really this is the deal. You can chose not to leave a tip, but only if you are not in LA.

I’ve been a waitress, I’ve run my ass off in a restaurant with no tips, and still if I’m eating out and the service is beyond pitiful - the bitch gets ZERO.
