Michael Lohan has once again gotten the opportunity to speak out.
This time against his daughter, Lindsay Lohan’s bodyguard, Tony Almeida, who spilled the beans to the media about Lindsay’s partying ways.
Michael responded by saying,
“It is sad to say, but Tony Almeida is a desperate and disgruntled employee who is destitute and will do anything for money. In doing this he has violated a confidentiality agreement which proves his lack of integrity. Yet again, this is an instance of someone living off Lindsay and our family for their own personal gain.”
Oh but I’m quite sure Michael Lohan isn’t into dipping into Lindsay’s wallet. Yeah, whatever!
Bodyguard Tony said earlier this week,
“Before ‘Herbie’ came out, I was invited to work with her in L.A. Lindsay was the cash cow. Records will prove, I never took one red cent from Lindsay directly or indirectly. I started noticing that the family dynamics were wrong because of the chaotic family environment. Her teenage years were actually very wild to me. She was given total liberty to do whatever she wanted to do … The discipline, there was no such thing.
If I stay for awhile, I can change the dynamics. I don’t think Lindsay would do drugs every day, but she did go out every night. The clubs would allow it, because she was Lindsay Lohan. The drinking I saw firsthand. I’m telling my story because I want to help.”
Tony claims that Michael freaked out one time on the Long Island Expressway, saying, “he slammed on the brakes and dragged her out of the car, pushed her up against the hood and called her a slut … I got in the middle of it and pulled him off.”
Michael, of course, says he doesn’t remember this happening, and denies ever being physical with his kids.
At Lindsay’s 16th birthday party Tony says Lindsay got lit up on booze, however Michael says that did not happen.
Tony claims Lindsay “drank whatever she wanted. I saw her drink with my own eyes.”
Michael shot back saying,
“I have a video of Lindsay’s entire sweet 16 which shows that she only drank juices and soft drinks…not once was it ever reported to us that any drinking, drugs or promiscuity ever took place.”
But Tony says Lindsay would hurt herself after becoming inebriated. “I saw her take her own fingernails and claw at her wrist until it was bloody and raw.”
Tony says Lindsay even threatened to take her own life after fighting with then boyfriend Wilmer Valderrama. “I got a call that Lindsay had locked herself in the bathroom and was trying to slit her wrists.”
Whether you love or hate Lindsay, it really is a tragedy. I mean, I might give Lindsay shit, but that’s because she is an adult now and at some point you have to take responsibility for your actions. It’s just entirely too sad to see that so many people are making money off of, or gaining fame off of her well being. She is human and unfortunately has grown up in an environment that feeds off of money, fame and drug use. She is a pawn for many adults who have used her for monetary or social gain.
Of course there comes a time when you can’t blame anyone else for how your life plays out, but shit, the poor girl was raised in these crazy ass circumstances where the only people in her life, including her family (who she should be able to rely on) take advantage of her star status for their own satisfaction. And that’s sad really.
Hopefully for Lindsay’s sake she will break away from all these f***ing freaks and get on with her own life. Without Dina or Michael Lohan, without the leeches of Hollywood and make a name for herself. Because she is talented and she is a human being, just like the rest of us. Most importantly, she is a role model to younger sibling Ali, who could probably use a strong mentor at this time in her life. Otherwise, we are going to see history repeat itself. And maybe at some point someone will die.
So even though I give Lindz shit, I really do hope to see her rise from all the crap and get herself together, because little Ali is depending on it.
