Remember that cute little baby swimming underwater on the cover of Nirvana’s legendary ‘Nevermind’ album? Of course you do. Ever wonder just who that little kid was and who he grew up to be? Sure you have.

Meet Spencer Elden, now 17, one of the most memorable babies of our time.

Elden tells MTV.com,

“It’s kind of creepy that that many people have seen me naked. I feel like I’m the world’s biggest porn star. I have to use stupid pickup lines like, ‘You want to see my penis … again.’”

Yeah, Spenc, you might want to work on those lines there..

“It’s kind of cool, knowing that I’ve been on an album cover, but I feel pretty normal about it because growing up, I’ve always known I was the Nirvana baby. It never really struck me as like, ‘Oh, sh*t, that’s me on the cover.”

Elden’s parents had never heard of Nirvana, but his dad had just graduated from art school and needed work.

“The first gig he got was the Nirvana album, and he needed a baby. So they just threw me in the pool, snapped a whole roll of film in like a second, and that’s how it happened.”

His dad was paid a mere $200 for the photograph which would forever be marked in an entire generations mind.

Elden has never met any of the members of Nirvana but he has a platinum record for Nevermind hanging in his room. He is a junior in high school and aspires to be an airline pilot.
