The NFL has suspended Atlanta Falcons’ quarterback Michael Vick indefinitely without pay for his actions involving the brutal and savage dog-fighting case.
The NFL issued the following statement on it’s site,
“Commissioner Roger Goodell notified Falcons QB Michael Vick on Friday that he is suspended indefinitely without pay from the National Football League, effective immediately.”
Thank you NFL! Most of you know I am a huge dog lover and this story killed me.
I heard that Jamie Foxx actually came to Vick’s defense saying that that’s what black people do in the hood. And besides, sometimes people murder other people and they get off. So basically, why shouldn’t Vick? They are only dogs, not people, right? Jamie, shut the f***up, moron. You only succeeded in making yourself appear ignorant.

“It’s a cultural thing, I think. Most brothers didn’t know that, you know. I used to see dogs fighting in the neighborhood all the time. I didn’t know that was Fed time. So, Mike probably just didn’t read his handbook on what not to do as a black star.”
“I know that cruelty to animals is bad, but sometimes people shoot people and kill people and don’t get time. I think in this situation, he really didn’t know the extent of it, so I always give him the benefit of the doubt.”
That statement just made my blood boil. So it’s a black thing and therefore it makes it alright? Nice excuse. Way to play the race card there, buddy.
After hearing Jamie Foxx’s ignorant remarks, I will never purchase or watch or endorse anything he does. What an effin’ idiot. And it sickens me to hear that prosecutors are already saying they aren’t going to push for the maximum sentence. Why not? It’s a truly sad day when anyone even remotely condones what Vick has done. If they don’t prosecute and sentence to the fullest extent of the law, that’s what they’re doing.
I don’t know if you’ve heard, but rapper DMX’s house here in Arizona was raided and a dozen pit bulls seized. Who knows if it’s related to Vick, but the timing is suspicious. Here are the details:

I hate what Vick did — it’s reprehensible. But frankly, I can’t muster up the anger of so many over it. Millions of human babies are aborted every year — where’s the outrage over that?!?
Good grief. Why does the commission of a heinous crime have to be about anything other than the crime that was committed? JustMe, can’t you be outraged about anything that lessens man’s existence on this planet?
I hate it when someone references to the hood as what is normal for black people. I am black, I never grew up in the hood. I think that Vick and anyone else that does these stupid things should get life in prison. As for Jaime’s statement, I saw it on tv but it must have been somewhat edited…it is not “normal” for people to kill each other, not suffer consequences for doing so, nor is it “normal” for people to drown and hang an animal or use it for dogfighting.
