Britney Could Have Recorded ‘Umbrella’

Britney Spears could have been the one to record Rihanna’s number one hit, ‘Umbrella’, but she turned it down.
Producer Tricky Stewart created the track with hopes that Spears would be the one to record the song. (Was he high?!) British singer/songwriter Taio Cruz says Tricky told him of his plans.
Cruz says,
“I was working with Tricky in his studio the day he finished Umbrella. As soon as I heard it I said, ‘That is a smash, I have to have it,’ but he told me it was on hold for Britney. He waited but Britney’s people never called him back.”
Sounds a lot like what happened with the Justin Timberlake duet that never happened. It seems Britney is just doomed to fail. And unfortunately it’s mostly been of her own doing.

She could have sang lullabyes to her kids and raised them properly too.. but she’s too busy becoming the world’s biggest joke and a professional slut!
I hate to admit it but I would have like to hear her voice on this track. I mean the song itself is not vocally challenging . Would have been perfect for her. Ella ella eh eh
