Ahhh…1987. What a year.
The year Aretha Franklin was the first woman inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, The Simpsons first appeared on the Tracey Ullman Show, Hustler magazine vs. Falwell was heard in Supreme Court, and Prozac made it’s debut in the United States.
The top song of the year was George Michael’s ‘Faith’, the number one grossing movie of the year was ‘Three Men and a Baby’ and everyone was watching ‘The Cosby Show’ on television.

is it just me? is it just the 80’s…or do all of these people look so DELICIOUSLY WHITE TRASH? especially the hiltons…is it the big hair…i cant quite put my finger on it…

Yeah, it was all about the hair, alright. It was all about getting the CD version of your favorite records, even if you had to pay thru the nose for imports, only to see that $30 Simple Minds CD turn up as a $12 budget reissue two years later. I was in year #3 in college, making friendships that last to this day. Lethal Weapon + Robocop, massive crush on Whitney Houston(look how that shit turned out).
