Ok, well now that I have ranted, I am going to post some bizarre stories from around the world that have absolutely nothing to do with Britney Spears, or celebrities for that matter.

Bar gossip leads to nasty surprise for couple

Prague- A Czech couple who decided to take a DNA test to squash persistent pub gossip and prove that their 10-month-old baby was their own got a nasty surprise.

The couple, from the southeastern town of Trebic, had some doubts about the child as her hair was blonde and they both had dark hair. Fellow drinkers’ suspicions got on their nerves.

But the test showed neither of the parents had the same DNA as the baby, Czech news agency CTK reported Wednesday, suggesting a mix-up at the hospital.

Authorities were looking into the case.

Hashish “spacecakes” become chicken-friendly

Amsterdam’s famed coffee shops are turning to free-range eggs for their hashish “spacecakes” to reduce the suffering of chickens.

“Coffee shop owners were completely unaware and shocked that their spacecakes are not animal friendly,” said a spokeswoman for Dutch animal rights group Wakker Dier, campaigning against the use of eggs from chickens kept caged on battery farms.

Four large shops have switched to free-range eggs and 20 more plan to follow, she said. The shops get through hundreds of eggs a week for their spacecakes, which are baked with marijuana or hashish and can give an intense high.

The coffee shops, where marijuana can be smoked openly in a relaxed atmosphere, are one of Amsterdam’s big tourist draws.

Man murdered by girlfriend over porn collection

A Chicago woman who became enraged after discovering her longtime boyfriend’s stash of pornography shot and killed him in their South Side home over the weekend, prosecutors said.

Jeanette Strowder, 58, is facing a first-degree murder charge in the Sunday shooting of Jesse Martin, 54, her boyfriend of about 15 years, police said.

Strowder was ordered held in lieu of $600,000 bail. On Sunday night, Strowder found CDs inside the home containing images of nude women and lost control, authorities said.

Prosecutors said Strowder gave a videotaped confession. She has no criminal history.
