Page Six spoke with Denise Richards recently about her dogs, Richie Sambora and those pesky rumors that she wants to have another child.
It seems Denise’s world is crashing down around her. She’s going through an incredibly ugly divorce, one of the worst in Hollywood’s history, she’s been accused of stealing her best friend’s husband and her mother is dying of cancer.
Whether or not Denise is to blame for some for her problems, one thing is for certain. She’s got a rocky road ahead.
Tales have come out about this lady, so I wanted to know is she a wacko, or what? One story said she’d asked Charlie, after his engagement to another woman, to give her a third child.
This single mom who rises every day 5 a.m. (she and I spoke at that hour) said,
“Never. I do not want another child. That was to make his girlfriend Brooke jealous, make her think I wanted to get back together. I’m a single mom. I do not want more children.”
We’ve read she has 30 dogs. What about that?
“I have 10. Some were my parents’. I always loved dogs. As a kid I’d bring strays home. I worked for a pet groomer. In our neighborhood people have lots of property and goats and sheep. Animals are good for my girls who then learn to be gentle. And it’s my dogs that help put a smile on my face.”
One more thing needed explaining - the romance with her friend Heather Locklear’s ex-husband, Richie Sambora, who has since been in rehab. Seems she doesn’t exactly pick the right men, right?
“Heather and I had already moved on. Richie and I, both legally separated, were friends. His dad was suffering from lung cancer, so we shared grief. He was kind to my mother. He was good to my kids. Cooked them meals. Made them laugh. He brought back what hadn’t been in my house. Everyone adored him, and we talk all the time. My kids still ask about him.”
