• CASTING HOST / TATTOO ENTHUSIAST FOR NEW SHOW ON MAJOR CABLE NETWORK

Are you Adventurous and Inquisitive? Do you love to travel and explore sub-cultures? Ever wanted to know the history and culture behind your favorite ink styles?

Northsouth Productions is producing a new television series for a major cable network that takes one host around the world to explore the secret world of tattoo cultures – from urban gangs to ancient tribes. It is an immersive show where we see and learn about the world of tattoos through the experience of our host.

• We are looking for a MALE, Age 30-50, who has at least one tattoo, who is smart, charismatic, articulate, journalistic, natural on camera, has great communication skills, likes to travel, and has an interest in tattoos.

• Must have an adventurous spirit. Must be up for anything and willing to get dirty and travel to foreign locales. Must be willing to be out in sometimes painful, dangerous, challenging situations. This is a gritty, immersive doc series and we’re looking for an engaging personality who will take us along on his wild adventures.

• Production will begin early 2008. This will be a full-time job that sends you all around the world. Must be willing to travel.

b) What is your connection to tattoos? How much do you know about the art, the history, the culture? What would you like to learn about?
c) Have you traveled overseas? Where? For what?
d) If the first stop we make is Japan, to experience the traditional world of “horimono”, what would that experience be like for you? Talk about traveling to Japan – What you’d want to see/do/experience.
e) Each of the cultures you visit will have a ritual they perform. It could be religious, painful, gross, etc. Would you be willing to participate?
f) How do you think these underground, secret cultures will receive you? How will you break the ice so that they respect you enough to talk to you?

VIDEO REQUIREMENTS:

1. Make your video about 5 minutes.
2. Talk about yourself, your connection or interest in tattoos, and anything else interesting about yourself.
3. Above all, show us your personality!
4. Eat something really sour or spicy on camera and talk us through it (Lemon, Jalapeno Pepper, Wasabi). We want to see how you react.
5. Please shoot this from the waist up.
