Movie stars often prepare for roles but partaking in activity similar to what their character does.
So what do you do when your upcoming role is that of a thief? You shoplift of course! Marisa Tomei plays a thief in new film Before the Devil Knows You’re Dead, and says she stole in order to help prepare for her role.
She told the New York Daily News,
“I have stolen recently… Band-Aids! There were five Band-Aids in the pack, and I got a sticker shock at the price, so I just grabbed one, which was all I needed.”
That doesn’t sound like role preparation, that sounds like a tight ass to me!
So while she will be most likely overpaid for this movie, someone with a regular 9-5 job that pays min wage will actually pay for the band-aids, and thanks to her penny pinching will be cheated at the register… hope her movie bytes the big one at the box office.
