Meet Eddie. Eddie is a rescue dog that my husband and I adopted this weekend. He’s about 8 months old and is an American Bulldog mix.
Eddie was abused and used as ‘bait’ in dog fighting. He was found in a parking lot, nearly dead. That was a couple months ago, and he has since been nursed back to health by a rescue shelter foster family. For the first month Eddie refused to move or interact with anyone.
Eddie is doing much better these days and is loving his new home. He’s comical! He sleeps in goofy positions and is totally uncoordinated. He’s a little scarred up but fortunately has recovered nicely.
He needs a lot of training and love, but we have a lot of patience for this little guy.
Just thought I would introduce him since many of you already know my other superstar, Lucy Liu.

awsome dog!!! More people need to be thinking of rescue. I have more than plenty and can afford to help those less fortunate, however alot of these less fortunate are able to actual work, make money for food, shelter. I do give, however I have far more empathy for a poor animal that does not have those capabilities to provide for itself and needs human love, caring and compassion. I, myself, have never owned an animal that was not a rescue or a stray and my life is the better for it!! God bless you!
Awesome! Breaks my heart that this kind of bad stuff happens but it really makes me smile when I read about people like you that are able to help. If I was capable I have a house full of pets that needed love and attention. My you live a long happy life with your new friend!
Eddie is adorable! How big is he?
I’m guessing he is about 35-40 pounds at this time. They think he is about 8 month old, so he has a little growing to do. He really is just SUCH a cool dog. TONS of personality. He makes us laugh.
