At a time when many are getting ready for work, changing their kids diapers or sending the kids to school, Jane shocked those who heard the vulgar word come from the 70 year-old’s mouth.

Jane was actually referring to a recent request to appear in a reading of “The Vagina Monologues,” which doesn’t excuse her behavior, but you can see where it was coming from.

After Fonda dropped the vajayjay (or should we say cu-naynay?) bomb, Meredith Vieira had to issue an apology, stating, “We were talking about ‘The Vagina Monologues’ and Jane Fonda inadvertently said a word from the play that you don’t say on television. It was a slip and obviously she apologizes, and so do we. We would do nothing to offend the audience. So please accept that apology.”
