Entertainment Tonight is reporting that Ed McMahon suffered a bad fall last year resulting in a broken neck.

McMahon, 85, has since had two surgeries to repair the damage.

“It’s been a tough year, but I’m working hard in rehab and doing the best I can to get through it,” McMahon said.

McMahon is best known for his 30-years on “The Tonight Show” as the late Johnny Carson’s sidekick.
