Doctors discovered that Senator Ted Kennedy, 76, has a brain tumor after having a seizure last week.
The malignant tumor is located in his left parietal lobe. Kennedy has been hospitalized since Saturday.
His family is keeping quiet about the matter and have been at his side constantly. His doctors say he is in good spirits.
It’s not known at this time what course of treatment he and his doctor will chose.

If it’s non cancerous he’ll have surgery and probably live out a long life, like his mom. If it’s cancerous, it’s fairly quick and most likely a secondary cancer so the end will be quick. Cancer sucks, brain cancer really sucks.

It’s malignant. So he probably only has months. My stepdad died from the same thing, except he was in his 40s.
My grandfather had the same thing he went on to live for 10 more years eventually dying in his sleep, so I guess who knows.
I suppose it depends on how slow/fast growing it is as well.
I think I heard survival rate was 1-5 years depending on the size and location. I will be honest and say that I have never been a fan of Sen. Kennedy but I wouldn’t wish this on anyone. How sad for all concerned.
