Despite being recently diagnosed with and hospitalized for emphysema, Amy Winehouse has already been photographed smoking.
Amy’s father, Mitch, recently spoke out to the press saying that the disease could possibly kill her if she doesn’t quit drugs and smoking.
“The doctors have told her if she goes back to smoking drugs it won’t just ruin her voice, it will kill her,” he said.
He added that she she may need a permanent oxygen mask and possibly a wheelchair if she doesn’t get healthy.
David H. Nielson, a thoracic surgeon in San Antonio, told Us magazine, “She’s only 24 yet she has the lungs of an 80-year-old . . She’s going to get fatigued [on stage] and have to rest with supplemental oxygen. It will dramatically effect her career. To have this type of emphysema already will likely shorten her life to about 50 years of age,” says Nielson.
50? Bitch won’t make it that long. Not at the rate she is going…
Her lack of caring what happens to her is hilarious. Obviously a moron and suicidal, but the powers of law and government and her family and friends don’t dare force her to do more than roam about into more harmful situations, and perhaps hurt others, then they will act to help her slightly recover and hear how much worse off she is? Better dead than alive to them isn’t she? James Dean, M M and other so talented but died too young types and are worth a lot?
I am sure she knows if she continues to self harm, and deprive herself of strength or ability; disables herself enough not to sing, make money or live freely by her own hands, then whoopie.. She’ll be an useless invalid, but she will have won!
How is she getting ciggies? That POS father who is her main enabler? Did the Dr in San Antonio actually go to England to treat her, or is he performing medicine via EsP? First of all if she was smoking with all these lung problem how is she inhaling. I bet you she will NOT miss that Mandela concert in a few days, I bet she is out smoking crack again by the end of the month. She doesn’t want to live. And luckly for her, she has family and friends who will ensure she has all the drugs and ciggies she wants. Mark Ronson stopped working with her for a reason. She’s a drug addict! He’s already grooming singers who sound just like her, without the problems who actually want a career.
Did you big mouths ever try to quit smoking? Well, guess what, it’s as hard to get off nicotine as any other drug, and cravings don’t care how you “think” about it. If it were so easy to give up these habits, half of Hollywood wouldn’t be in rehab. And whilst we’re at it, Mark Ronson stopped working with Amy because he’s a no talent remora who sucks people dry and then finds another source of money to feed his “habits”–one of which is his immense ego. Try facing a few hundred thousand screaming “fans” without drugging yourself silly, and see how it goes. No one has that kind of cool–but most of the musician druggies just aren’t as honest about their lives as Amy is. And not near as talented, either.
She really is tragic-
Her situation reminds me of a lot Robert Downy Jr. when he was so immersed in his addictions. I hope she can pull it together.
