Women all over Britain are becoming mothers to newborn infants - except their babies aren’t real, they’re “reborns”.
A woman is making and selling dolls that look identical to a real baby and people are buying them in droves, looking to fulfill their maternal instincts.
Whether it be those who cannot conceive, those who have suffered the loss of a young child or those who simply want to experience motherhood, these babies are the perfect replacement to the real thing.
The dolls have beating hearts, soft skin and lifelike veins.
A documentary about the babies and the women who own them aired in the UK originally and last night in the US on BBC America - which I missed, dammit.
Did anyone catch this? I am totally hoping for it to air again. I love twisted sh*t like this..

I love freakish shows like that. I hope they replay it over the weekend.
I actually saw it on the BBC channel the other night….it was very freaky! The lady even put one of them in a stroller and took it to the park. She had named them and everything, its very strange. It re-airs again on the BBC America channel on October 5th 8:00pm ET….its definitley worth the watch!!
