Well, since you’re quoting an interview you’re technically not “allowed” to change things because you’d be altering what she said. Think about it…….what’s the difference between altering words that they used incorrectly and then altering words that they used to make it seem that they said something they didn’t? No difference.

And it’s not the interviewer who got the word wrong, it’s Shirley Manson who isn’t too bright. You can tell by the entire sentence that she’s not the sharpest tool in the shed, claiming that “gingers” are more difficult to sedate in an operation? Uh, okay there Shirley. I know that the idea of worshipped celebrities not being the brightest bulbs in the lamp is hard for some people to accept, but trust me, it isn’t the interviewer’s fault that the word is wrong. It’s that Shirley clearly isn’t edu-ma-cated. You know……same as most celebs.

I believe she meant “ANESTHESIA.” Not “antiseptic.” Antiseptic is a disinfectant. You know. Like Lysol. Or anti-bacterial soap. They don’t knock people out for operations with Lysol. Or anti-bacterial soap. If they did there’d be a lot of pissed off people.

The public goes gaga over these celebs, and half the time they don’t even know what they’re talking about and aren’t educated. But because they “sing” or “act” on some TV show they’re worshipped as Gods and Goddesses. Methinks we need to celebrate society’s everyday schmoes who are actually smart, educated, and work at jobs that use brainpower and help shape the world that these celebs live in.
