A soon as George Takei announced his wedding plans the media starting buzzing with the all important question: Would Sulu invite Captain Kirk to the ceremony?
And so it began, a celebrity cat fight, fought on Entertainment Tonight and You Tube.
At one point The Shat went public saying that he felt Takei was suffering from a form of “psychosis”all the while claiming no wrong doing in the past.
Takei didn’t take it laying down. He threw blows at Shatner during his late night talk show stints and at other various public appearances.
This time, Shatner, still being unable to just let it go, takes to YouTube to rant about the entire ordeal…again.
He says,
“George has been mean to me for a long time, in public, and I’ve never said anything. I wish he’d stop being mean to me. For me, there’s no fight. I would like to (talk to him). I’m not mad at him, I’m annoyed that he keeps saying bad things about me.”
At the end of the video he invites Takei on his new talk show, Raw Nerve.
“I’ll issue an invitation to George to come and talk to me.”

Um Shatner is a dickhead. My cousin was in line behind him boarding a plane and he went off because the people with handicaps were taking too long to be seated and thought maybe he could hurry them along by saying very loudly maybe they should consider another form of transportation. Like I said DICKHEAD. His first class seat was still there unharmed when he arrived to it 5 minutes later. I woulda shoved a crutch up his fat ass…just sayin
George Takei Has Been Mean to Me for Decades. I don’t think so.
Lisa, I don’t doubt you for a second! I think we all know who the guy with the problem is!
xoxo
Wait, isn’t this the guy who killed his wife?
Alrightly then. Time I cracked a whip on this one. During my years as a smashing Convention Diva, Philanthropist, liason & Interviewer, I’ve worked with both Will Shatner & George Takei.
I knew George was gay in the 90’s & he’s never ever made a media event out of his relationship with his long time partner.
George is a gentle, funny, karaoke singin’ character that I’ve had the great pleasure of spending many long silly hours with.
Shatner, on the other hand (with whom I’ve gratefully met but only once) is a tinitus tortured, whining whatsit that demands he be adored for his non-existent charm & sorely unfunny self-depricating humor.
George tells several stories about Shatner in his guest appearances but all are good-natured & not in anyway rude, or in the slightest, mean; & just going on what I know alone…if George says he invited Shatner, I side with George.
Personally I can’t see Takei excluding him & I damn well can’t imagine it, with the still very recent death of Jimmy Doohan (Scotty).
So whatever has transpired, these folks all know they are forever linked. Differences aside, the cast of Original Trek, whether big or bit part, know the gravity their performances have had on generations–the space program to mention the very least. The first interacial kiss.
So big props to you all. Even Mr. Shatner. Respect, heal up & rock on! Fandom Forever!
