What a busy little bee Britney Spears has been lately. From promoting her new album, Circus, which hits stores tomorrow, to her MTV documentary, ‘For the Record’, which aired last night, everything Spears has been working for is coming to a head this week.
Did any of you watch ‘For the Record’ last night? I’m sure a ton of you did, myself included.
At the beginning, the interviewer promises that no subject will go untouched, but I can think of one! The pantiless parade of last year!
Yeah sure, he brought up the shaved head, but that was easy enough. If he really wanted to impress he would have asked about Brit’s exposed clamato.
Although she promised to show the real side of her in the film, I think she played the ’superstar Britney’ throughout most of the interview. We only saw the ‘real’ Brit when she was munching on the cheese grits her daddy had made her, or when she broke down saying, “I’m sad.”
Britney was all dolled up the entire time, fake eyelashes, clean hair, not the ‘real’ Brit that we all know.
Throughout the show I couldn’t help but get the impression that everyone around Britney is leeching off her. And yes, even her father. Everyone laughed awfully loud at her unfunny jokes..
It’s a sad situation really. To everyone, Britney Spears is a business, not a person, and I doubt that is going to change anytime soon.

She still seems so lost. Why can’t any of her people see that?
I felt bad for her when she described talking but that none of her closest people were actually HEARING her. And how sad she was. That must be awful. But I also feel that she’s this close to losing it again if she doesn’t stay medicated and looked after. She lives such a strange reality, I don’t think she knows how to cope with some things, like break ups. On the superficial side, I thought she looked healthy and pulled together, except her hair looked like it needed washing.
I felt a litte bad for her. She said she wanted to meet a man,have more babies and move to an island somewhere that noone could find her. That tells me she’s tired of the people she’s surrounded by and wants to take a break from all the pressure of being a celebrity. But I think all her handlers,her entourage,all the people who live off of her are pressing her to keep up with her comeback. Even though she said she’s happy performing and working, I don’t think her heart is into being the biggest pop star ever anymore.
