Elton John is endorsing a special limited edition iPod that’s encrusted with crystals.

Only 1000 of the flashy iPods will be made and the proceeds will go to his AIDS charity. They will be sold for $584 each.

John, 61, had a hand in designing the devices which feature his signature lasered on the back.

His publicist said, “Elton does not usually put his name to a product but this is exactly he kind of thing he loves. It’s extravagant and glamorous just like him. And, as everyone knows, his AIDS charity is very close to his heart.”
