Etta James: “I Can’t Stand Beyonce!”

Etta James went OFF about Beyonce during a Seattle performance last week saying Beyonce was gonna get her ass whipped!

You see, Beyonce sang James’ song, “At Last ” at Obama’s Inauguration Ball. Obviously Etta was still bothered by it enough to bring it up last week in front of an audience.

Despite Beyonce playing her in the flick “Cadillac Records,” James was none too thrilled with Sasha Fierce (Beyonce’s alter-ego) singing her song for the President.

She ranted, “Your President, the one with the big ears … he had that woman singing my song. She gone get her ass whipped.”

A moment later she really kicked it up a notch, “The great Beyonce … I can’t stand Beyonce.”

    I agree w/Etta. That was “our song” (DH and I) until Beyonce sang it a thousand times on Inauguration day. Blech. Ruined. She needs to stick w/what she’d good at… crap like “Single Ladies” and stay away from the classic jazz standards. Horrific.

    So here’s my idea….Faye Dunaway and Etta James in a Tag Team Cage Match with Beyonce and Hillary duff.
    Oh, yeah….and baby oil.
    …
    OK, baby oil for one side and Linament for the other.
    And the Corner Man in the James/Dunaway corner needs to make sure when he takes their mouthguards out that he leaves their teeth IN.
    After their victory it is inevitable that Beyonce and Hillary will turn on each other and teh winner of that brawl will be ambushed in the locker room by Mily Cyrus.
