To clear up any wild rumors off the bat, DJ Khaled did not kill himself last night in a chase that ended with the driver of a white Bentley shooting himself.

Media had mistakenly reported that the shooter was Khaled, while other outlets hinted the driver of the vehicle might be Chris Brown. Both reports were mistaken.

The incident, which started around 8 p.m., involved a man driving a Bentley who was suspected of assault with a deadly weapon on his girlfriend. A slow speed chase ensued until the driver came to a stop and held a gun to his head.

Shortly after he pulled the trigger. He was pronounced dead at the hospital.

The owner of the vehicle had a Chicago registration and owned many other high-end cars. His name has not been released.
