In an interview with Ann Curry last week, mother of octuplets, Nadya Suleman stated that she would not be receiving public assistance for herself or her fourteen children.
Today the LA Times is disputing that claim saying that Suleman and her family are receiving $490 a month in food stamps and also an unknown amount of federal assistance for three of her first six children whom are disabled.
Suleman’s publicist Michael Furney confirmed the allegations but added that his client didn’t consider food stamps and SSI to be welfare.
(Now, I, myself, have never been on welfare, So I honestly don’t know for sure, but isn’t the food stamp program part of welfare?)
“In Nadya’s view, the money that she gets from the food stamp program and the resources disabilities payments she gets for her three children are not welfare,” he said. “They are part of programs designed to help people with need, and she does not see that as welfare.”
Ok, but obviously Nadya doesn’t see the world through the same eyes as most of us!
In related news, Nadya’s own mother, Angela Suleman, is coming forward saying how disappointed she is that her daughter decided to add eight more children to her already large family. She feels that Nadya already had her hands full with six children (again, three with special needs,) and had no business having more.
Angela owns the home that Nadya and her clan of children live in. The three bedroom home is described by a RadarOnline.com reporter as “filthy” with food on the walls. Angela also pays ALL the bills. So I guess you could say she has every right to voice her opinion and concerns about her daughter’s bizarre need for having so many children.
Angela called Nadya’s actions “unconscionable” and partially blames the doctor who performed in the vitro fertilization for Nadya.
She disputes Nadya’s claims that the same doctor who was involved in conceiving her first six children was involved the second time around. She says that she and Nadya’s father went to the first doctor and begged for him not to perform the
procedure again.
“Her dad and I were talking to her doctor so he would not do this again. He did promise and he kept his promise. However she went somewhere else and had this last in vitro done again which resulted in octuplets.”
What I want to know is, how did Nadya come up with the money for the nosejob and the lip injections? Seriously, is she trying to look like Angelina Jolie? Is that her motivation here? I know it sounds far fetched, but clearly this woman has psychological issues!

Ummm…DUH?!?!?! Food stamps ARE public assistance. I hope CPS (Child Protective Services) comes in and takes her kids-giving them to couples that CAN afford to take care of them properly.
I mean, c’mon…14 kids living in a 3 bedroom house?? Ugh… this b*tch is delusional…
OMG I never made that connection, that she could be imitating Angelina Jolie.
This woman who is obviously MENTALLY ILL needs to be arrested for child neglect, abuse and WELFARE FRUAD. I ask you America…what skank who is PUBLIC ASSISTANCE…can AFFORD??? to get plastic surgery {she is delusional and thinks she angie} and IVF! Whoever implanted her should be arrest and forced to support those helpless children. STERILIZE THAN IMPRISON THIS STUPID LAZY SKANK!
Look at the photo.
I had three children and among the zillions of others things I did for and with my children, apart from supporting them, was fix up their rooms. I tacked colorful stuffed animals on the walls, put up posters of the flavor-of-the-day child favorites, bought bedding to match, had bookshelves stocked up with toys that matched their ages, interests and abilities on that boookshelf, played with them with those toys, and showed them how to put them up when we were done, together.
The first thing that caught my eye from this photo were the bleak bare walls. Those alone speak volumes about this woman’s interest in actually parenting her children.
