Celebrities Speak Out About Chris Brown/Rihanna Incident

Since Chris Brown and Rihanna’s much publicized meltdown the media is asking fellow celebrities to voice their opinion on the unfortunate incident.

Most are hesitant to form an opinion being as they don’t know what actually transpired, while others are making no qualms about it.

One of the most outspoken people has been Gayle King, Oprah’s BFF. She is not empathetic towards Brown despite him claiming to be extremely remorseful.

She says, “I can’t think of anything that makes me support anything that Chris Brown is saying at this time. And my heart just aches for Rihanna.”

Former American Idol Carrie Underwood seems to have a pretty good perspective on things. She told Us magazine, “I don’t think anybody actually knows what happened. I have no advice because, thank goodness, I’ve never star been in any kind of abusive situation. You hear a new one every five minutes, and some of them are getting kind of ridiculous. I really hope everyone will lay off and just let everybody who’s involved figure out everything first.”

Jay-Z, who helped Rihanna launch her career and considers her to be a little sister, is on Team Rihanna. “This is a real situation. You have to have compassion for others. Just imagine it being your sister or mom and then think about how we should talk about that. I just think we should all support her. She’s going through a tough time. You have to realize she’s a young girl, as well. She’s very young.”

For some reason, Heidi Montag was asked her opinion, and for once in her life, she didn’t make it all about her. “I don’t know what happened there, but our thoughts and prayers go out to both of them. It’s such a crazy situation. I hope everything heals. I don’t know what to say.”

Lindsay Lohan, who has been in (and is still in) some pretty crazy relationships has chosen to stay out of it. She says, “I have no comment on that. That’s not my relationship. I have no reason to speak about it. I think they’re both great people.” Well, yeah. She already has her hands full with her own relationship!

R&B queen Mary J. Blige simply says she loves them both. “They’re both young and beautiful people, and that’s it.”

And Mark Curry looks at the bigger picture. “Women, throughout history, have been beaten and prostituted. Even today in movies and music, they’re portrayed as low-grade, so you know, he’s a youngster, and he can correct his ways. It’s just a tragedy – women and abuse.”

I feel that no one know what acutaully happen. Maybe Rhianna pushed Chris to the point where he had to defend himself. Know beating on women is wrong but at the same time if you are beating someone to the point where they have to defend them selves something is wrong with that person. My heart goes out to both chris Brown and Rhianna and I pray that they work out their defferenes and continue to got there seperate ways.

I have no sympathy for either of these 2 overrated colored “singers.”

All these other celebrities have an opinion on this. And Chris Brown even read a statement. What about Rihana? I read she’s hiding out in the Bahamas. So much for the myth of the strong black woman.

Beth, you’re such an asshole… Why can’t you consider the fact that emotions can ride over you and the effect could be an irrational decision. I love both Rihanna and Chris and hope this gets resolved quickly. Well, for a 13 year old and also from the UK… go find coldplay or keane to tattletale about and stay the hell outta our business. Yuk!

    BTW, Chris isn’t a low life…

People need to stop making assumptions and judgements. Don’ttake sides until they BOTH publicly tell their story. That’s the wisest thing to do.

i don’t know who’s at fault but the pictures floating around the internet is making people point the finger at Chris Brown http://tinyurl.com/RihannaFacePhoto. they’re only human and no one’s perfect…but that doesn’t mean that we can pardon his actions…words are just as strong and hurtful as physical blows. he needs counseling and hopefully everything will work out fine. But rihanna shouldn’t be too hasty to run back in to chris brown’s arms just yet….

Lyn. You’re a racist bitch and I hope someone whoops your ass for it.
