After being assaulted by boyfriend Chris Brown, Rihanna has been spending time in the sun.

She recently came home from her native Barbados, celebrated her 21st birthday in L.A., then headed south of the border.

This photo was taken last weekend as Rihanna strolled a Mexican beach looking anything but serene.

Meanwhile, Brown is attending anger management classes and is due to appear in court next month.

He recently released the following statement, apologizing for his aggresive behavior. “Words cannot begin to express how sorry and saddened I am over what transpired. I am seeking the counselling of my pastor, my mother and other loved ones, and I am committed, with God’s help, to emerging a better person.’
