It’s long been known that Alyssa Milano is love with America’s greatest past time – baseball.

It’s also known that Milano has dated some of baseball’s biggest names including former LA Dodgers star Brad Penny and pitchers Carl Pavano and Barry Zito.

The actress, who has her own line of women’s baseball jerseys, says she has loved the sport since she was a child.

In the book, Safe at Home: Confessions of a Baseball Fanatic, she explains, “Other women dream of papaya facials and mango pedicures. Give me a hot dog, a pitchers’ duel and a late-inning suicide squeeze (risky tactic to score), and I melt like hot pine tar.”

Although she has dated numerous baseball players, she says she is no groupie. “To be completely honest, after Barry and I broke up, I swore off baseball players. (But) Brad had me at, ‘Let’s go down to the clubhouse.’”

As for baseball’s great scandal involving athletes taking growth hormones, she supports her boys in uniform by offering the following analogy. “The big difference between injecting Botox and with taking human growth hormone is that there are no rules against Botox.”
