Katie Holmes’ brother-in-law passed away unexpectedly on Sunday while visiting his mother.

Joseph Jeffrey Fretti, the husband of Katie’s oldest sister Tamera, was found by a relative in the Sarasota, Fla. home. He died of heart failure. He had brought his children over to see their grandmother just before his death.

Fretti owned a funeral home in Toledo, Ohio and was only 48-years-old.
