carrie-prejean

Ok, I have been skirting around this topic, but figure it’s about time I touched on it.

I am sure you have heard the whole controversial story about Miss California, Carrie Prejean, telling the group of judges that she does not support gay marriage. Of course the question was asked by my archenemy, (Baby Huey blogger), who, for some reason was invited to help judge the competition. Really, what does that gnarly suck up know about beauty? Bitch, please.

And then to top it off, Baby Huey slammed the competition afterwards calling it the worst pageant ever AND he called Carrie Prejean a “dumb bitch”. See, this is why I can’t stand him. He gets free tickets to cool events, he is invited to movie premieres, he gets flown around the world, and as he is taking his tickets in his left hand, his right hand is twittering or blogging about what a f**knut the person is who is giving them to him.

But I digress..

At the competition, Baby Huey blogger asked Carrie if she supports gay marriage. She then honestly told the judges (and the world) that she is anti-gay marriage. She said, “Well I think its great that Americans are able to choose one or the other. We live in a land where you can choose same-sex marriage or opposite marriage. And you know what, in my country, in my family, I think that I believe that a marriage should be between a man and a woman. No offense to anybody out there but that’s how I was raised and that’s how I think it should be between a man and a woman. Thank you very much.”

Let’s face it folks, she had every right to answer the question the way she did. I don’t think she meant any disrespect, that is just her opinion, and yes, she is entitled to it. Now don’t get me wrong here, I am not siding with her, hell, I am one of the biggest fag hags this side of the Mississippi, I love my gays! But I also think people should be allowed to have their opinions (not HATE!) and be able to express them accordingly.

Since the competition, Carrie says her phone is ringing off the hook. She spoke with Fox News about the ordeal and says she has no regrets in her decision to speak out for what she believes in.

“I have no regrets about answering honestly. He asked me for my opinion and I gave it to him. I have nothing against gay people and I didn’t mean to offend anyone in my answer.”

So what is your opinion here? Was she wrong to be honest about it? Should she have lied instead? Or was she brave for sticking to her guns and her beliefs?
