David Cook’s brother, Adam Cook, has died after an 11-year battle with brain cancer.
Adam, 36, passed away at a hospice Sunday morning in Terre Haute, Indiana. He leaves behind a wife and children.
Despite his brother’s death, David still showed up to a cancer research benefit as the event’s honorary chairman. At the 12th Annual Race for Hope 5K event in Washington, D.C. he told the crowd, “I actually lost my brother yesterday to a brain tumor, and I couldn’t imagine being anywhere else right now. I lost one today, but I gained 9,000, and I will be here every year that they will have me.”
Terribly sad. Best wishes to David and his family!
