Amanda Lepore hangs out at Novita Restaurant in New York City.
Whenever I post pics of Amanda I get emails asking who she is. So here it is, in a nutshell.
Wikipedia: Amanda Lepore (born Armand Lepore) is an American transsexual icon who has received attention for her modeling, fashion, partying, and business skills. She has been the advertising face for Heatherette, M.A.C. (cosmetics), Mego Jeans, Swatch, CAMP Cosmetics and more. Fashion design company Heatherette has used Lepore’s image on much of their clothing and has chosen her several times to model their brand during Fashion Week. Lepore is also noted as a regular subject in much of David LaChapelle’s work. She participated in his Artists and Prostitutes 1985-2005 exhibit in New York where she “lived” in a voyeuristic life-sized set. She is represented by “Classic Entertainment Group (Manhattan, NY). Lepore resides in New York City and works as a nightlife hostess at many of the city’s popular parties and clubs.

wow s/he so blond… she still got the hint of masculine… where s/he from originally? ethnicity?
Whoa, sooo ugly and freaky!
LOVE HER!
I love that she’s so very open about who she is and completely fearless. Sure, she’s a completely artificial being, but she rocks it.
One word: Scary. No, two words: VERY scary.
She’s become very iconic and an inspiration to many transgendered teenagers, she’s sort of the role model for many TG’s. Once you get outside of large cities many of the TG’s are virtually alone, not treated well, stigmatized for something they can’t help being. They have a very high suicide rate nationally, Amanda LePore has been a voice for TG’s and once the photographer David La Chapelle made her his muse, she stepped up and was very open about her life, which helped many people, and I suppose their families.
I always feel so sorry for people who aren’t mainstream, they are judged so harshly by society when they didn’t get to choose how they are. Sometimes you must accept and love people because of their differences, not in spite of them.
