Sara Jane Moore is now 80 years old, but back some 35 years ago she attempted to assassinate President Gerald Ford.
Moore spent 32 years in prison, 6 of those in solitary confinement, after shooting at President Ford in San Francisco back in 1975. Fortunately for him she was a bad shot and missed. A bystander wrestled her to the ground and she was detained.
Seventeen days earlier Squeaky Fromme of the Charles Manson family had also attempted to assassinate the President.
Sara spoke with The Today Show this morning and spoke of her experience.
Check out the video, pretty interesting actually.

Thanks for posting that, I had no idea she had been paroled. I do think she sounds like she is not a danger and her actions were more a product of the times, and the place – SF was the hotbed of radicalism in this country and unfortunately there is still crushing poverty in the area and many people are very moved by that. She was a product of the times, but obviously shooting someone, even the president wasn’t going to be a solution. How could you survived 32 years and be sane? Wow. Interesting.
I wish Laurer had an understand of left wing vs. radicalism, two very different things.
