Jennifer Hudson is pregnant with her first child!
Hudson, 27, is engaged to boyfriend David Otunga who you may remember from VH1’s I Love New York. He is reportedly pursuing a pro wrestling career.
Friends and family threw the singer a low-key baby shower in downtown Chicago this weekend.
Family friend and singer Felicia Fields confirmed the exciting news:
“It was a baby shower, a quiet gathering of friends and mostly family. They’re really trying to keep it kind of quiet. It was a nice time that we had.”
She added that the couple does not know the sex of the child and refused to say when Jennifer is due.
After everything this poor girl has gone through it’s nice to see that she is discovering new joy in her life.

Whoever this woman is needs to listen to what comes out of her mouth. Trying to keep it quiet doesnt mean running off and telling newspapers. I’d be so pissed at her if I was Jennifer Hudson.
I think at this point there is no need for the madness. The cat is already out of the bag. Essence had already got things started. Jennifer is to big to hide the baby at this point. I think she did a very good job keeping it on the low. I think Mrs. Fields only gave what was aloud for now. People can try an guest, but she did not give a due date nor the baby sex the two most important things. I am so happy for Jennifer and David. However, my husband and I knew durning the super bowl. We had already made our predictions. The top for me started it all although the outfit was beautiful. She also had that glow and looked real matural.
