Jon and Kate are taking a break. Yes, I am aware they are getting divorced, dumbass, but now that their marriage is on the road to ruin, TLC wants to make sure they can still save the show.

Just one day after their announcement that they were ending their marriage, TLC made a big announcement of their own, putting JON & KATE PLUS 8 on hiatus. Following a retrospective on their first 10 years of matrimony, which airs June 29, the show will go on hiatus until August 3.

Hmmm… how long does it take to restrategize, retool, and revamp a show to make sure that the idiots who actually watch this stuff will tune back in, desperately clinging to some hope that these two people who clearly hate each other will be able to work it out? What do you know? Until about August 3. Wow, that’s some coincidence.

It’s bad enough The Kidd has actually had to cover not one, BUT TWO stories concerning this dynamic duo, but do I really need to be asked by people which side I am taking: Team Jon or Team Kate? Because, if so, then my choice is Team Fiery Car Accident. Too harsh…? Ha… I think not harsh enough.
