Sahel Kazemi, the mistress of Steve McNair, was arrested for DUI during the early morning of July 2nd, only two days before the murder-suicide.
In the video Sahel Kazemi is seen pulled over in the Escalade that McNair allegedly bought for her. He was apparently a passenger in the vehicle.
Kazemi performed field sobriety tests and joked with Officer Shawn Taylor. As she was being held in the police car, Sahel repeatedly asked that McNair come back to the window so she could talk to him. But the officer informed her that he was mad at her and didn’t want to speak to her. He told her that McNair had left her there. He said, “He’s not happy. I told him you wanted to talk to him and he was more than welcome to come back to the car. He just left in a taxi.”
She told the officer that she wanted to know if McNair would bail her out. And he did.
But is the reason that McNair left her there because that same officer arrested him for DUI in 2007? In that instance he was not driving, but his brother-in-law was, and officers charged him because he allowed someone who was drunk to operate his vehicle. Charges were later dropped.
Police suspect financial and jealousy issues on the part of Kazemi may have sparked the couple’s problems.
