Wendy Williams new TV talk show premieres today!

Williams chose the home of her new show to be with WAGA-Fox in Atlanta. She says after being offered multiple  shows by different production companies she went with Debmar Mercury because they didn’t try to change her.

“People wanted to tone down my personality, make my dresses longer or skirts longer. With Debmar Mercury, I’ve been given permission to be me.”

Williams’ shows will start with current hot events & topics, then her celebrity guest interview followed by the advice portion of her show.

Although she sometimes has the reputation as a cold, in-your-face interviewer, she says she’s tough, but not malicious.  “I’m respectful. I’m not mean-spirited. I’m not going to ask questions I’m not willing to answer myself.”

When describing her new show she says it’s “feel good TV. I’m not a clown by any stretch of the imagination. It’s not buffoonery. It’s not dumbing down.”
