This weekend I had a chance to meet the members of Klover Jane, a hot new band in it’s infancy, composed of some well known, seasoned rockers of the Seattle music scene.

Jay Clark, the band’s bass player, previously played bass and was the lead singer for one of the most well known 80s metal bands in Seattle, Coven.

Then there’s the Noble Brothers, Jeff, on guitar and Dean on drums. Both have played with numerous bands locally.

Jay, Jeff and Dean all formed a band when they were 13-years-old called Black Ice, and after many years reunited in 2008, thus beginning their journey for the perfect front man. They met Stefan in January and knew after only one jam session that he was their man. In April they played their first show and since then have caused quite a commotion with the 20 or so  shows they’ve played since.

If you are a fan of Alice in Chains, I think you will like Klover Jane. The first time I heard them I instantly thought Stefan sounded like the late, great Layne Staley – with power vocals like that of Chris Cornell.

The band’s other influences include Soundgarden, STP, Godsmack, and Disturbed, among others.
