Miley Cyrus sure knows how to work a pole.

Ok, so it wasn’t exactly a stripper pole, it was some weird pole on top of some weird cart that she was dancing on while singing “Party in the USA” at this year’s Teen Choice Awards show.

Still, it’s a little creepy that she’s doing anything with a pole.. Couldn’t they have dressed it up like a palm tree or something?

    People will find anything to freak out over, forgive her for needing a pole for balance. she can’t stay a little Disney channel girl forever with her clothing style either, she is growing up like any other teenager in the world, they shouldn’t criticize her for growing out of her 14 yr old “Hannah Montana” character.

    My God… This has been waaaaay over-hyped. The girl held on to the pole for balance. She DID do pelvic thrusts, but if you listen to the song and watch her dancers, they were referring to a “Michael Jackson song” and the move was supposed to resemble one of his more well known dance moves. As far as her “pole dancing”, nope. Not even close. I know what real pole dancing is and trust me, this ain’t it. As for why the pole wasn’t dressed to look like something else, like a palm tree or something, when was the last time you looked at an ice cream stand? There’s usually an umbrella atop a pole on a rolling ice cream stand like you’d find in a park. That’s what it was supposed to resemble.
    As far as I’m concerned, this is just another media scandal. Celeb does something semi-questionable so let’s all pass judgment and pick it apart for entertainment. I don’t take this story any more serious than the whole Janet Jackson wardrobe malfuntion at the super bowl, and it’ll be forgotten just as easily.

    I’m sorry, but she lives in a world that ask her to grow up faster than a regular teen. The pole was there for balance. Watch your schools dance or cheer team when they do a rutine…Its not as innocent as it looks. One can learn a lot on how to move their body from being on a dance and cheer team. Not to mention walking around in a skimpy out fit that is ment to look cute.

    It wasen’t even pole dancing. She was using it to keep her balence up and people shoudn’t be saying that she was pole dancing. Now that’s just wrong. I support Miley 100% for doing what she does best, but stop being so mean about this stuff. She’s just trying to have some fun. She might be a disney star, but not for long. She’s getting a little old for it and Miley has been doing alot more important things these days. She is not even a role model for children, geez, stop bugging the girl. I love Miley to death and people shouldn’t say stuff that isn’t true.

    Wow Miley… I’ve always defended her but this time it was way over the top she is 16 and that is crazy for a christian girl let alone ANY 16 year old girl no way I’m sorry but little kids go run to Demi and Selena WAY better role models sorry Miley used to look up to you and stick up for you!     Wow, hahah i think this is freaking funny. She tries so hard to dress like an adult and act like one but she still has to sing song about childish stuff like that ? Why im god’s name would you pole dance to a song called party in the u.s.a ? It’s too inacent. If she is trying soo hard to grow up and end up like Brittney and Lindsey then atleast change the style of your freaking music you ignorant child.
