reggie-miller-von-Furstenberg

Someone paid to have a banner flown over numerous Southern California beaches last Friday, warning ex-NBA star Reggie Miller to stop chasing married women.

It is not known who is responsible for the banner, but recently Miller did have issues with designer Diane von Furstenburg’s son Alex. Miller had allegedly been strongly pursuing Alex’s fiancée, Ali Kay, almost to the point of stalking.

Miller met Ali at a party last summer and ran into her again in March of this year at a grocery store. He then allegedly waited outside for nearly an hour until she came out. Then he followed her in his car.

reggie-millerHe also sent Ali an onslaught of text messages. At one point he sent 53 text messages in an hour. Now if that isn’t stalking, I’m not sure what is. How he got her number in the first place, isn’t known. Not to me at least.

Finally Alex had enough and decided to confront Miller.

He described how Reggie had responded: “He said he had friends with guns. He implied I would get hurt if I didn’t stop questioning him on his inappropriate pursuit of my fiancée and his attempts to subvert his efforts.”

After that, both men’s attorney’s duked it out and came to some sort of an agreement.

Shortley after Mr. von Fursternberg issued a statement saying:

“I was very upset about Reggie’s behavior towards my fiancée. I think people in Malibu share my views that being a famous basketball player should not provide some sort of shield against inappropriate behavior. Reggie sincerely apologized to me on a phone call with Ronald Richards, his attorney, and myself. I cannot comment further on the matter as I believe it has been resolved.”

So, was it Alex von Fursternberg who had the banner made and flown or was it yet another miffed husband? I’m guessing it was Alex. I bet Reggie has popped up once again. There are a lot of professional athletes out there who don’t like to be told no..

Creepy.
