Chima Simone speaks out about being evicted from Big Brother!
Was Chima Simone of Big Brother 11 evicted by producers – or did she, in fact, quit the show on her own terms?
Chima is speaking out about her eviction in a letter written to Big Brother Examiner. She claims she DID quit Big Brother and says that producers of the CBS reality show would like you to believe that they evicted her.
She writes:
Yes, I did in fact quit the show, although there are reports on EW from CBS to the contrary. Big Brother would like everyone to believe I was kicked off for not following the rules, but I went to the producers repeatedly over the past couple of days wanting to leave….wanting out of that house!
As crazy as that house is, the producers NEVER want the world to think or know that we houseguests DO LEAVE when it becomes futile to stay. I lost faith in the show & my ability to remain committed to this game. All of the remaining housemates know I wanted to leave and that is why any conversation concerning me is cut in the live feed because they don’t want America to hear the truth about my voluntary departure.
Do you really believe that I would be expelled for tossing my microphone when past houseguests have only been kicked off for violence & threats of violence? You know better, as do I.
It’s better that I left. I did what was best for me in this game and that was to leave. When I chose to play & play hard the power I did earn was completely usurped by a game piece never used before in this game and my HOH reign was rendered useless. I have no regrets. As cliche’ as it sounds, until the public is a part of a human pressure cooker, then the judgements should cease.
I find it interesting that my personal attacks on Russell have been highlighted, but his attacks on me pushed under a rug. Selective portrayals? I think so. Russell did terrorize the house, especially the women in the house. Why America constantly finds men attacking women okay, yet vilifies the woman defending herself, will always confound me. But what’s done is done, now BB fans can find a new woman to hate. I didn’t sign up for what I was exposed to & I left gladly. It was the principle of the matter, the $500,000 prize be damned. So, Big Brother fans, do you believe that Chima is telling the truth? Do you think that the show’s producers are twisting what actually happened on order to wipe their hands of any wrongdoing? OR do you think Chima lives life by constantly playing the victim, feeling that the world owes her something?
Yes, I know Chima was brutally raped and attacked, and for that, I sincerely feel for her. BUT, as many of you have said, that gives her no right to treat people the way she does. She points fingers at everyone else rather than taking a long hard look in the mirror at herself and what she is doing to contribute to these explosive situations in the Big Brother house.
Whether she realizes it or not, she is full of much rage and hate. And whomever her target happens to be, is the one who will feel her wrath. And there will always be a target because that vileness and venom needs to come out somehow.
I am also not excusing Russell’s verbally abusive ways in the house, and I have mentioned them before as well. He also has major anger issues. I think that’s why he and Chima butted heads..because they are so much alike. But I never heard Russell say that Chima, or anyone else for that matter, deserved to be raped (Chima said that she wished Russell would hit her, go to jail and get raped), nor did I hear him mock a houseguest’s religion (Chima said Russell was not a Catholic, but a Muslim terrorist), or accuse a HG of being a racist Nazi (which she did to Ronnie). Chima always made it personal, and always said the most evil, atrocious, and hateful things her vacant little heart could conjure up. That’s why America can’t stand her, and that’s why no one is shedding one tear for her after her departure. And honestly, I don’t think anyone really cares HOW it was that she left the show. All we care about is the fact that she DID.

i agree with you on just about everything. of course chima is going to say that big brother portrayed her wrongly and that she was really doing everything in defense. chima was the constant pot-stirrer. we all watched her freak out on almost each and every houseguest one by one. i dont know that i’ve ever seen someone more spoiled rotten in my life. she is a loose cannon.

I hate you all because when a strong black woman speaks her mind you get so upset. Yes Chima did some things that was not right but it is a game and BB says that she was evited but I do believe that her and the producers put this plan together because she wanted to leave and BB had to make themselves look good. I think that all of the people let in the house need to be evited.
Chima has endured some terrible times in her life but they should be unrelated to the BB Game – she shouldn’t win by default out of sympathy. She has taken playing the role of victim into the game – while she was the victim of a horrendous crime against her – it should have no bearing on BB – if she couldn’t separate the two she should not have joined the game. She comes off as a spoiled brat – her way or the highway – well the highway came to meet her and it doesn’t matter how – she deserved to leave the show and I for one will not miss her.

First of all the Cope de Tat was a part of the game in the past, but no one had the balls to use it…. Bravo to Jeff!!!! That has been the best move of the entire season. I agree with Melissa. I am an African American woman, and I am disappointed by Chima’s actions. She used racist comments toward other housemates. Coming from a person who probably has had racial slurs said to her, just saddens me that she would want to hurt another person that way.

I can’t blame Chima for being upset that her HOH was undermined, but those types of things happen on BB all the time. Just because things turned against her team for one week was no reason to take her ball and go home. It’s a chidish act whether she left on her own or was booted for breaking rules.

Her spoiled reaction to having her HOH reign deemed useless confuses the heck out of me. This is a GAME and there are twists and turns along the way. Expect the unexpected. That’s the way BB works. I agree it sucks when it turns against you but…that’s the way the cookie crumbles sweetheart. I thought she should go the first week when she pouted so ridiculously over being a have not for the week. How she ever got through the audition process is beyond me. The power switched this week as it should throughout the game or it wouldn’t be entertaining and afterall that is the point of BB to be entertaining to the home audience. I was thrilled to hear of Chima’s departure. For a supposed journalist, her language is appalling and no doubt a source of embarrassment to her family, Her behaviour was childish and entitled when she did not get her way. She is NOT a representative of strong female traits, but what one aspires NOT to be! Be accountable, Chima. Your behaviour did this to you. Perhaps anger management would be a good place to start in addressing her many, many character flaws.

I think that everyone on here who is making judgements about how and why she left should just wait until tomorrow to see what actually happens on the show. That should tell all. Though I’m sure Chima did get the boot from the producers for her ugly attitude, let’s let the show be are proof and bite our tongues until then.
It’s nice that Chima was able to write a letter. People like her like to have the last word and Chima is entitled to have all things go her way. She held her composure throughout to the end and in no way was she guilty of all the things she accused everyone else of. She is a strong woman who should be treated with delicate gloves cuz even strong women cannot be verbally attacked and expected to respond with class and intelligence. She was victimized and all on her own she created the opportunity to share this with the world! Only strong women need that kind of attention. A weaker woman would keep this to herself, knowing that the best way to deal with crisis is from the inside out. She does not need peace because she is strong-minded with no need for harmony. Anyone who is not loyal to HER is simply not a loyal person. Now, after seeing her action first hand you won’t be able to help but believe her letter and blame CBS for creating a show where she was brought to expose it’s shady dealings. BB shows people for what they are and it’s good we all got to see the gem of a character that Chima has grown up to be.
She totally ruined the show for me. I’ve never stopped watching because of a houseguest before and there have been some really bad ones ,(remember Amber) but this horrible nasty bitch topped the cake. Now maybe I can actually watch the rest of it with her gone.

i am a black women and what you said was not called for. I do think that she was in the wrong, and that she needed to go. I really don’t care how she left, on her own or by the request of CBS, just as long as she left. But that’s not what i want to write about. I have a question, do you know any black people, because if you do you might want to rethink your post or your friends. I’m sure that many white people are tired of some blacks thinking that they are raseist, just because they are white. I can not tell you how excited I was to see Chima gone. Being that I am a professional black woman myself, I could not believe that CBS could actually find someone who acted the way that she did. I do not let Russell off of the hook for the things that he has done, but he did not attack Chima the way that she attacked him. She was constantly trying to show that she was better then the other houseguest. When she told Casey that she was going to make sure that he wa snominated next if he didn’t go along with her, i knew there was a problem. I am sorry but a strong woman is nothing Chima was, a strong woman has dignity and deals with things in a very respectful way no matter how terrible things may look and a strong woman knows when to shut the hell up and to also be able to say sorry when she is wrong. Look at the movies, how many have a black woman acting that way, the producers of those movies didn’t just make them up, its what they see. Listen . . . Chima put herself into a situation she could not control, and it appears through her words and actions, that she is very much a person who needs to control. I believe if she had any self-respect, self-esteem, self-confidence, she would have never permitted herself to act in the fashion we all watched. I have to say that someone who has spoken so proudly of her educational achivemnent, Chhima portrays herself quite differently. One would have to question the merit of her degree. She is trying to conjure up sympathy or something by playing the “strong woman” card. The strongest women I know can handle themselves with grace and integrity. They do not scream in people’s fcaes and instigate trouble with their use of racist comments and hatred. It’s really sad that a 33 year old woman with so much potential lacks the self control needed to be successful in all aspects of life. Her grandparents, as well as the majority of viewers were disappointed in her behavior and that in itself should be a lesson for Chimma. Take this experience and learn how to become a better person instead of crying “sour grapes”. I REALLY hope they show what she was doing as reported on the live feeds, i.e. trashing people’s room, throwing away their food, & rewashing clothes just so no one else could. You know, the same shit I did in sleepaway camp when I was ELEVEN. From what I’ve been reading, her psyciatrist really needs to up her med dosages.

This is how i see it. Chima you signed up for a game thats slogan is “Expect the Unexpected”. Suck it up. For everyone saying that she is a “strong black woman” you are blinded by race. First I want to say I am a white woman and I have a great respect for strong black women! Now for Chima she is no where near a strong black woman she is a spoiled woman period. As someone who spent 20 years selling advertising in Los Angeles and who had high profile entertainment companies as clients, I can only say this America – IT is only a Game! Period. And since it is only a Game – it is a MONEY making game. You have to remember that TV shows sell ADVERTISING. Conflicts on the show = Rating = Advertising Dollars. But, we have to remember – it is only a TV Game Show. BB is not going to help feed the Homeless, not end the Recession, not bring down Gas Prices, Not help stabilize the banking and real estate markets….right? It is only a TV Show. That’s all.

However, she is not the worst ever, that belongs to that tatoo’ed bottom feeding verbal abuser who, along with his daughter, won a few seasons back. He was such a slime, and should have been kicked off as well. I almost gave up on the show entirely when they won. Now, I’ve got my wife hooked on BB, and I NEVER thought that would happen!

To the CBS Producers; you truly lived up to the name “The Tiffany Network” this was a quality move. I for one am very impressed that she was treated FAIRLY by CBS and removed. It appears by the live feeds that she wanted to get kicked out. So thrown out, kicked out or just outright quit who the heck cares? This miserable excuse for a woman is GONE.

Here’s are true issues here:
(1) It doesn’t matter WHAT game you play. If you are playing a game with other people, you ALL have to follow the same rules. You don’t open the Monopoly board, gather a few friends and then say, ‘I’m going to start on Park Place.’ Then, to make matters worse, you don’t just quit if you aren’t allowed to change the rules to match your wishes. That makes you a poor sport, a bad player and you have NO business playing the game in the first place. I believe BB should do an EXTENSIVE background search BEFORE allowing any individual into the BB house. Chima made the stupid mistake of playing a game where you HAVE to play a game with other people; yet, wanting to change the rules to suit your desires and then bitch, moan and complain when you don’t get your own way.
(2) The bottom-feeder mentality of Chima to throw the race card, become the biggest pain in the ass to everyone else in the house came back to bite HER in the ass. When you’re put inside a glass bubble (like the BB house is – at its core,) you should know that EVERYTHING you say (or don’t say) or do (or don’t do) is GOING to be scrutinized by EVERYONE that could possibly watch. Furthermore, everyone here is saying that Chima was evicted. The truth of the matter ISN’T that she was evicted. She quit because she couldn’t get her own way or was kicked out by the BB producers.
Personally; I don’t care why she’s gone, just as long as she doesn’t come back.
One good question about what happens this week… since there’s going to be a double-eviction, does that mean that two (2) people will be leaving the house (in addition to Chima leaving)? Or, is it one other person leaving (in addition to Chima?) I guess we’ll have to tune in to see for ourselves.
Chima from the first episode showed no class. She is a spoiled brat with absolutely no class. If she does not have things her way, she hollers and screams and insults. She is a poor loser and her family will be embarassed for her behavior.

A good indication of true character strength is how one acts when the chips are stacked against you. Chima was perfectly happy, loud-mouthed while in a position of power. Strong woman? I think not. When put in a position of weakness, she folded. I am glad that the British at Dunkirk, the US after Pearl Harbor, the Christians living in catacombs during Roman rule, Joan of Arc, and so many others in their own pressure cooker didn’t act like Chima.
What a wimp. It is easy to be loud and oppressive. It take character to face hardship and come out shining like a hardened diamond. She acted like the classic bully that folds or whines when removed from a position of power. Life will be full of victories and setbacks – she will only grow once she is forced to face a setback, and see it through.

I personally didn’t like her because when she was on top (HOH), she was so short-sighted that she did not even think of how her actions would come back to screw her if the tables were turned. What’s fascinating to me is how so many houseguests totally forget the influence of the audience. Every season there’s something that “America” votes on – and America votes for whoever they like the most. So, if you’re going to act like an ass then it’s unlikely America will vote for you. That’s what got Jeff the coup d’etat. Chima, Jesse, and even Russell should remember that they can very likely get screwed by America if they’re going to act like such idiots.

I do belive however that she quit because tv is about ratings some one breaks the rules more people are going to tune in on most episodes if she quit less people would watch because it isn’t interesting she got impatiant and pissed. I loved it. I don’t know what’s more disgusting, a bunch of people all in a house displaying the absolute lowest examples of human nature for a big pile of money, or all of the tens of millions of people who sit at home and cheer it on. Chima did the one thing that no one on that show has done this season: she displayed a conscience! She wasn’t kicked off, she WANTED off and anyone who couldn’t see that is blind!
Big Brother promotes disgusting behavior among the houseguests. But what’s more disgusting is the insane profit the producers swim in every week from the tens of millions who watch it and cheer it on.

If you invited someone to dinner and they behaved that way you would kick them out. She had the opportunity of a lifetime to win that kind of money and behaved so disgustingly. Would any of you keep a house get that behaved that way? NO. So why is anyone surprised that she was told to leave?

I think Chima’s behavior was horrendous. Every time something happened that didn’t go her way she pouted and made life miserable for everyone. Every time someone from the other alliance left, Jordan, Jeff and the rest didn’t yell and throw tantrums. They didn’t stop talking to people because they were on the block. I’m disappointed Chima left. The drama is what got me watching this year’s BB. Yeah, she’s a raving lunatic but I didn’t have to live her all I had to do was watch her butt heads with everyone. She reminds me of crazy Hall-Of-Fame loonie reality star, Amorosa, of Apprentice fame. Now those two can plan a reality show together. I’d watch. Without Chima the show would have degenerated into a boring will Jeff kiss Jordan program over and over again.

This is all crazy. Does it really matter whether she was evicted or left on her own accord? Does it matter whether she was a “strong black woman” ? As a woman, black or white, I am appauled at her behavior. She reminds me of my 11 year old, all is grand when she is winning, but at the first glimse of defeat she melts down like a child. Chima being gone is great, I only wish she had done it with the true grace of a real woman.

Look, I AM a strong black woman…..but that doesn’t excuse Chima’s behavior. The sense of entitlement poor self control is why America (and I) disliked Chima, not because of her race. You can be strong and outspoken without being a bully, immature and/or manipulative. I for one was ecstatic to see her go, and I hope Lydia (with her equally bad attitude) is the next one out the door!!!
The individual chima, apparently had very poor upbringing. The poor thing could not make a complete sentence properly without screwing it up with vulgar language. That’s real caring and respect for all the children watching the show. Children like game shows as well as the adults. It’s a real travesty how she brought such great shame to her grandmother and other blood relatives. I’m sure that some of the folks that were her friend will not be so eager to associate themselves with her after the things she said and did on national television. She sure can’t say she didn’t, want to see the recording? But many times there’s a hidden silver lining in even the worst situations. She may very well have a good future awaiting her that would allow travel to various places, meeting people from all over and possibly getting to work with animals. She didn’t just break the rules on that night, she broke them from day one as shown on the retakes. Look, she knew upon entering the home she had to abide by the rules as everyone else. She thought she was better and entitled therefore those rules somehow didn’t apply to her.
And the poster who says who cares if she left of her own free will or was asked to leave. The reason I think people, including myself are speaking of this is because it goes back to her character.
