Michael Jackson’s death has been ruled a homicide by the LA County Coroner’s office.
This is not good news for Dr. Conrad Murray, the physician who treated Michael Jackson in the weeks leading up to his death.
The autopsy conducted found that Jackson was given a lethal dose of Propofol along with a mixture of other sedatives. But it is the Propofol which is believed to have killed him.
Dr. Murray claims no wrong doing, but a manslaughter case is building against him. He told investigators that he gave Jackson Propofol to help him combat insomnia. He added that he felt Jackson was becoming dependent on the drug so he was gradually weening him from it. The night before the pop star’s death he says he tried other drugs, lorazepam and midazolam, to help him sleep. At 1:30 AM he gave him valium. When Jackson was still awake at 2:00 AM he gave him lorazepam via an IV. (Wow, to me that seems excessive already…) Then at 3:00 AM he gave Jackson midazolam when he STILL hadn’t fell asleep. Then at 10:40 AM Jackson “demanded” his “milk” a.k.a. propofol, which Murray oblidged.
Now, remember this all according to Dr. Murray. I think it sounds fishy… That’s a lot of sedatives for such a small, frail man to still be awake after receiving. Something is not right.

MJ’s doctors are in big trouble now. Let this be a lesson to doctors who unlawfully prescribe drugs to celebrities.
We have to give the man his due: Michael Jackson was – beyond a shadow of a doubt – a great artist whose recorded legacy will endure for decades, maybe even a century or more. But an examination of his life is riddled with questions of all that might have been; all that should have been. It is more than likely that this was a severely mentally ill human being who never sought the treatment he so desperately needed; surrounded by fawning sycophants who enabled his sickness by constantly reassuring him that he could do no wrong. As John Lennon once said in the same context about Elvis Presley, another victim of the excesses of fame: “It’s always the courtiers that kill the king”.
The sad, inescapable truth is that for reasons we will probably never be able to fully understand, his talent and his career were ultimately wasted. Like Charlie Parker, Montgomery Clift, Judy Garland and Lenny Bruce before him, his brilliance as an artist would be overshadowed by severe, psychological torment and an unexplainable desire for self-destruction. Therein lies the real, unspeakable tragedy of Michael Jackson.

I don’t think anything is going to come of this, ethically what he did was appalling but who in there right mind hires a doctor to anesthetize him in order to sleep? Guilty conscious keeping someone from getting a good night sleep? It’s just one more bizarre thing that surrounded a man who lead an incredibly bizarre life.
I don’t think this doctor will serve one day in jail. Do I think all the doctors who over prescribed meds to MJ will have their licenses suspended, yep that will happen as an example to other doctors, which means business as usual. Nothing will change.
