Jaycee Lee Dugard, an abducted child in 1991, has been found after 18 years.
Jaycee, now 29-years-old, walked into a police station in Antioch, California Wednesday and claimed she was the real Jaycee Lee Dugard.
She has since spoken with the FBI, who believe her story is true.
Jaycee’s parents are elated that their daughter is alive after all these years, although at this time, they have yet to have been reunited with their daughter.
Stepfather Carl Probyn, who heard Jaycee scream as she was being abducted, said the family had assumed the worst. “I had personally given up hope. I had just hoped for a recovery.” He added that the family held onto the hope that Jayvee’s abductors would be caught one day. But now that Jaycee may be alive he says, “I’ve actually won the lotto.”
A press conference is set for today at 6:00 PM EST.
Jaycees abductors are reportedly in custody. They may be Philllip and Nancy Garrido, who reside at 1554 Walnut Ave., Antioch, CA. Police records indicate that a search warrant has been issued for that address. Both have been charged with kidnapping to commit rape with their bail set at $1 million.

wow, i wonder how she realized she was the missing girl? i hope the couple who kidnapped her have the books thrown at them.
So two people have been arrested…..
Phillip Garrido, 58, and Nancy Garrido, 55, of Antioch, were arrested on Wednesday.
Phillip is a registered sex offender and is being held on $1 million bail for charges including kidnapping, committing lewd acts with a minor, and rape.
Nancy is also being held on $1 million bail and her charges include kidnapping and conspiracy to commit robbery or rape.
I’m guess Jaycee has known along who she is, but only now had the opportunity to do something about it.
I wonder if as an adult Jaycee ever went back to her house in Tahoe to find her parents.
This case will be a movie of some sort for sure.
I hope the parents of long-lost Amy Bradley hear about this miraculous case and it gives them reason to hope for a happy ending.
My Brother knows someone who live 3 houses down from the rapist home and he saus that they had never seen the girl, he would always go out on his own. He would look very suspicious.. This is really scary not knowing who you live by.. Glad she is alive and is reunited with her family..

What a great ending to an horrible story! If they could only all end this way. My prayers are with her and her family as the healing for this young girl begins. Makes you think in reading the above post, we can never really feel secure even in our own home not knowing whom our neighbors are! May God be with all of us!!
I cant help but be inticed by this story. The possibilities are endless…. did the abducted know? If not, what a relief after mothering two of her “fathers” kids.
What was the relationship in the home? Did they go on as a normal family with a lot of secrets or did they have all theses secrets and really seem as strange and suspicious as peolle or neighbors are suggesting? If they were that damn strange then wtf neighbor.. got anythin gto say now besides the fact you failed the social contract?
I think its crazy how someone always has something to say on situations like this becasue frankly, we love to judge, but really? The majority of the insult reflects on the person dishing it.
So….. when the details come out I sure as hell hope its from 60 minutes or some certifiable, reliable anchor. There is a great interview or human experience and overcoming that we have yet to witness, be inspired by or as some do.. devile. Bless her and her family. This girl will always be 11 in the biological parents eyes.. until today. Theyve missed out on alot and I guareentee shes not the same girl they raised.

It says on AOL that he had her living in outdoor shed buildings and only had electricity through extension cords and a camp-like shower. She had his first child at age 14. Her step father told police that it was a man and a woman who snatched her at her bus stop.. go figure–they arrested a man and a woman. The entire time, the step father was a suspect. Pretty crazy story…It also said that her two kids have never been to school or to a doctor. All I wanna know is WTF is wrong with this sex offender’s wife?? How could she go along with this? Makes you wonder…
now that she has been recovered from the abductors home, what will be their living situation. is jaycees mom going to help raise her grand daughters she never knew? those girls never lived in a house but in tents!! a lot of adjusting will have to take place. i know if it was my daughter just to have her back i would be overwhelmingly happy. school time for jaycees daughters for sure.

I have prayed for Jaycee for 18 years, ever since I met her Aunt in Costa Mesa, CA. I am so glad she is back. Mom and Dad have two grand daughters now. I am sure Jaycee loves the girls a great deal. Together the three of them survived. I am so grateful to God for her safe return. Now the healing begins. I hope they lock up the Garridos for the rest of their lives.
I am from Lake Tahoe…. I was going into my Sophmore year in high school and I remember this day like yesterday. I was so overjoyed when I read the news this afternoon!!!! What an amazing feeling this is to know that she did what she had to do to stay alive all these years to be returned to her family!!!! You have so many people that have prayed for you, missed you, and cared for you, eventhough you didn’t know us, we learned about you….. My mother (who passed away 9-18-08 will be at peace right now knowing that your family has you back. She was active in helping your family look for you! We owned a feed store and made sure we put the word out for your return home!!! What a blessing to know you are alive. Let the world help you heal and know that people support you!

What I am curious about is if she (Jaycee) has ever been to a doctor, if not how did she give birth to these 2 babies?, sorry I am sure there is alot of questions that are more important but one has to wonder about this one, but I am very happy for this family to have their child back knowing she is alive is the best news any1 could ask for. It boggles my mind, too. Was she always stuck as a prisoner with these two evil people–watched every minute of the day, or did she get a chance to go out once in a while. You know, take a walk to get some fresh air. Was there ever a chance for her to make a run for it? Or was she paralyzed with fear to even try? After a while she must have thought to herself: This is just the way things are for now on. I am sure having children with this guy somehow bonded her to him.
What is even more striking to me is that in her adult photo she looks healthy and normal, like a typical soccer mom.
These two skunks pretty much stole her childhood. I am not sure how I would react if they took my daughter and raped her like that. I don’t think I could muster up any forgiveness at all.
The “photos” on this page of her as an adult are NOT real photos of her. They are both composites of what two different artists at two different times thought she’d look like based off of photos when she was a child.
As far I’ve been able to tell…there are not any published photos of her since she’s been reunited with her family.

i feel really bad she was taken but glad she was found!! i mean if you think about it she was kidnaped 18 years ago she is 28 and has 2 kids from a guy who raped her!! and her oldest kid is 15 that means she had the kid in between the age of 13 and 15!! she has gone threw a lot so no one should be judging her!!!!!!
I never really knew of this, since I’m a year younger then her eldest daughter, but all this really…made me think.
How do you keep a child locked up, let alone have her grow, and have children?And how did this woman not go nuts?If I was her (thank GOD i’m not) I would not have been able to look at this bloated 14 year old girl, and she was probably the one who helped with the delivery’s.
Also, if he had a wife, I get the feeling this was a cover up, and maybe she was the same as him.

Well, does that Ba***** and his UGLY evil wife realize that once in prison, that they will be SURROUNDED by inmates that HAVE childeren! Do they even realize what these inmate are going to do with them when they get them alone!! And, they will be times for that!!! And you know for a fact the gaurds will turn their backs on that!!! Those people are going to do what they usually do to all newbies that rape or molest little children; The SAME damn thing they did to sweet little Jaycee!!! And they deserve it!! Because even with years of counseling, who says her children and her will be able to get over it? Because you know ,once a rapist, always a rapist; so those kids are most likely victims too! (In my opion, they deserve the death penalty!)

Does anyone other than myself believe that maybe Philllip and Nancy Garrido,had help keeping Jaycee and her daughters captive? Its great that they have been reunited with her family,a true blessing. But we all should look within our neighborhoods as to what “Fluffypuppiness” said.What if it is and has happened to others this same way? I am a believer that sex offenders should NOT be released into public! Today in our times we are looseing lots of little children,by repeat sex offenders and even mothers its sick,and very sad! The law should do thier jobs better,im still shocked that parole officers checked the home of the “GARRIDO’S” and seen nothing that would have looked wierd to the normal eye.He to me looks awfully strange and bewilered.She to me looks like shes very mean and controlling. Whatever they are they are in for it!
