Caster Semenya is a hermaphrodite
The test results are in for Caster Semenya, the 18-year-old South Africa runner whose sex is under scrutiny.
Caster, who looks very much like a man, has tested three-times the normal amount of testosterone for a female and is without ovaries or a uterus. However, she does have internal testes. Her urine tested that she is female, despite the high testosterone. Is your head spinning yet?
The tests were ordered by The International Association of Athletics Federations after her sex came into question. The tests have proven that she is, in fact, a hermaphrodite. She has since been advised to have the internal testes removed because apparently they can be deadly. They are also what is responsible for her manly features.
Caster won 800 meter gold at the World Championships in Berlin last month. The test results have put her in jeopardy of losing her title.
This is a tough one! But hey, her urine tested that she was female, so you probably have to go with that. She must have some kind of vag, even though they didn’t mention it. You know if she had a peen we would be hearing about it. Or maybe she has one of those . . . oh nevermind, I won’t go there.
Should she be able to keep the gold? I think so.

i agree if the urine test said she was female then she should be able to keep her medal. if there are no rules in place concerning hermaphrodite, then she should def keep medals. or maybe make them have a race again once her testes are out and her testosterone level off.
i wonder if she and her coaches knew about her medical condition before the race? if she didn’t, man it must be horrifying to learn of it in this manner and with the whole world learning about it too.
damn! I think Hermaphrodites usually have both external genitalia. Yeah she /he should have had those testis removed a long time ago! They will eventually become cancerous!

I definately feel she should be able to keep her medal. She was raised as a female so obviously her family as well as herself feel that she is truly a female.
I agree with you too, I mean I doubt the Olympics or any other sport is rife with hermaphrodites, but a person trained and ran with women so I am going with has a vag too, can you imagine being born dirt poor in Africa and maybe never even realizing why you looked or felt the way she did? It’s must have been a wow moment for her. Vag means her. There I said it.
Guess I’m the only one that thinks she should lose the medal. Why? Because that is fair. How are the other women suppose to feel, being beat by essentially a man with a vagina?
I’m sorry for her condition, but she is basically handicapped and should be either kicked out or put where she belongs, with the men.
