Is Gwen Stefani looking skinny-minnie or what?

Hmm…I tend to keep on eye on Ms. Stefani and must say she has lost a considerable amount of weight in recent days. I have always thought this blind item from a couple years back might be her:

WHICH singer keeps her slender frame so thin the old-fashioned way? Seems a “major eating disorder” helps keep her midriff worth baring.

Also, check out these pics taken not even two months ago when No Doubt played in Vancouver. Pay close attention to her arms in those photos – not nearly as bony as she is today. Am I wrong?

barbie-vintageOk, enough with the hunger pangs, it looks like Gwenny-poo has stolen some makeup tips from vintage Barbie! The bright blue lids, thick upper lid liner, bouffant hairdo and all. I love the look. Gwen never fails when it comes to looking fashionable. She has her own sense of style and follows her own rules.

But still, she does look hungry. Eat something Gwen! You’re too glam to get all bobblehead on us.

She is so gorgeous, but I wish women would realize that as they get older, a little more meat on your bones makes you look more youthful. Wrinkles become more defined, skin sags, and veins pop out naturally (which sucks), but just a little padding will make your aging skin appear more youthful. I’m not saying pork up, just 10 pounds or so.

Gwen is awesome but what was beautiful about the women of the 40s and 50s was that they had curves…not “fat” per se but, what Marilyn was a size 12 right? Also I was sad to hear she once told a magazine that she always went to bed hungry…not a good symbol for today’s young girls…

Marilyn was a size 12, which translates in today’s clothing sizing as a 7-8! Do not be fooled that Marilyn Monroe is a 12 in today’s garment sizing because it is NOT true – but you have to know a little fashion history to know when and why sizes changed over the years. Please be aware Marilyn was a tiny curvy woman – Size 12 is a Large to Extra Large in today’s sizing. Marilyn would have been around 50lbs lighter than a size 12 today! It’s not a valid comparison at all.

I collect vintage clothing and I can assure you this is true -

Good catch on Gwen she has lost a lot of weight from the two photos, she was always an athletic build more than lean – it looks like she lost 20 lbs or close to it, she’s size 0 or size 2 in the second photo.
