Janet Jackson’s tribute performance to late brother Michael at the VMA’s
The Michael Jackson tribute for the MTV Video Music Awards started with MJ’s song, Thriller as various clips of Michael played on the big screen above.
Dancers performed to a collection of Michael’s hits, finally ending with the Michael & Janet duet, Scream, when Janet came onstage. A great opening for the show and it is always great to see Janet perform. I just wish she could/would sing LIVE!
that was a great opening. i had forgotten how great mj’s dance moves were. on a side note, was one of janet’s dancers cris judd (jlo’s ex)? thought it looked like him.

She did sing live. Just look at the video again. Shes’ even singing harder. That was wonderful! Made me teary eyed when I saw her and her brother dancing! Whose ever idea that was did a great job!

I hought that Janet did an amazing job recreating “Scream” and especially getting back together with Tina Landon I know yall saw her and Gil behind Janet she was Great
This was just great…..I loved it. I wish Michael could have been there to do his songs and espacially “Scream” with her instead of Janet doing it in memorium…but, hey. Who knows? Maybe he was there. Love to the Jacksons and Michael…always.

She still got it, fantastic, magnificent and I wouldn’t have changed a thing. Man can she move… OMG it was beautiful and brought back so much memory of MJ on stage. She nailed it… And ending with Scream, totally brilliant! incredible! I mean she was just phenomenal. I mean she had every step in motion. My jaws drop, I couldn’t keep my eyes off her and I had to keep rewinding it to see it over and over again. I was mesmerized how talented gifted Janet is… so much like her brother Michael and I never expected anything like this for her tribute to him. She did it up… Janet took the show. I know this was hard for her, but thank you Janet. Thank you for reminding the world who Michael Jackson is and forever will be. The Greatest Entertainer In The World! That was so very creative and the music selection was it! right choices which really depicted the man Michael Jackson plus how courageous and talented Janet still is. Very very beautiful! I felt Michael’s presence and had me wishing they (Janet and Michael) had done more duets! Go on, Janet, keep representing and rest in perfect peace, Michael. We’ll NEVER forget you!!
yup that was chris judd….with jlo in the audiance with marc..her latest…lol. that was good. i am happy janet was able to get out and dance to her brother’s memory. MJJ RIP i love you!!!
Indeed it was Chris Judd was at the VMA alongside Janet Jackson. Chris was Michael’s Back up dancer on tour for years. He looked cute too. Janet gave one of the biggest performance of the Year! I miss MichaeL jackson. May you rest in peace!
