Whoopi Goldberg slams Kate Gosselin on The View

Whoopi Goldberg went off on Kate Gosselin who foolishly admitted on The View that she had bent the rules of she and Jon’s custody agreement.

After they were separated, it was Jon’s turn to have custody of the children but was not going to be home. Instead, he had a babysitter there, ready to tend to the kids.

When Kate found out that a babysitter was going to be taking care of the children she offered to stay with them. I mean, she is their mother, right? However, their custody agreement states that she not be there when it is Jon’s time.

Kate says that her intuition told her something was not right about this particular babysitter, who, by the way, is the same babysitter now claiming she had an affair with Jon. (He denies the affair) She goes on to say that she was hoping that for the sake of the kids that Jon would let her watch them, since she was available and all.

As Kate is telling us the situation Whoopi is grilling her. Then she let’s Kate have it, telling her “When you go into a custody thing with someone, you have your specific time and their specific time and you’re not supposed to walk on that. That’s the law…you could have gone to jail!” Meanwhile, as Whoopi is serving it up, Sherri Sheperd is completely on Kate’s side saying that she understands where Kate is coming from because she too, worries about her son while he is staying at his dad’s.

That has to be hard just dropping your kids off with a stranger. I can understand why Kate did what she did. I think Whoopi is making a bigger thing of it than what it is. And Kate and Jon have not only one or two children, they have EIGHT! Of course you are going to want to know that your kids are in good hands.

Jon not using a babysitter that they both agreed on was a little weird and was also disrespectful to Kate. They apparently had a sort of list of approved sitters, and he runs off and gets one not on the list. What kind of move was that? He probably was banging her, that’s why. Otherwise it makes no sense.

Even though I never watched their reality show, the more I hear about these two the more I think Jon is the uber-douche of the family. I mean, we don’t see Kate out mingling with stars and hooking up with young bucks. Jon is the super geek who’s making up for all that time of being uncool.

The sad thing is that during this time of adjustment the kids are probably confused and upset – and Jon has a babysitter watching them? What, was he too busy buying Ed Hardy t-shirts or something? Please. He needs to be with his kids right now and to stop worrying about his social life. Step up to the plate Jon, I’ll give you eight reasons why the world does not revolve around you.
