Rocker Trent Reznor married his fiancee, Mariqueen Maandig, former singer for West Indian Girl, this past Saturday, October 17th.
News of the wedding was brought about after former Nine Inch Nails bandmate Danny Lohner posted, “Goths the world over will mourn this day – off to a wedding.” He later posted a small photo of the bride and groom.
We all know how much The Rez loves his Twitter (not!) so I am sure he’s elated about his buddy posting about his wedding on there. Reznor deleted his popular Twitter account after news of his engagement to Maandig hit the press. Fans were not pleased about the couple’s engagement, and they said so. Maandig isn’t exactly a hit with Reznor’s hardcore fans..
The couple have yet to make an official announcement – and I’m sure they aren’t in a rush to do so, either.
Wow, you wait 44 years to marry and you choose THIS?? Seriously……..Reznor, even as big of an asshole as he is needs to raise his standards.
I’m happy for anyone getting married and it’s real, true, and it’s obvious you love each other. There is no connection with these two and I’ve never seen anything like it before.
This brings to mind how gays aren’t allowed to marry, yet you can have two Idiots who truly are ugly on the inside make a mockery of marriage. MariQueen is an ugly human being, and so is Trent. I watched the both of them berate and bait people on Twitter all Summer. All the “hate” Reznor got for her was well deserved. No one is jealous that she “got” Trent……I would’ve respected him marrying Big Bird if she was a decent woman and wasn’t an immature, braggy golddigger who has gotten no prize in a man.

I hadn’t thought of that, but you’re right. A gay couple raising a family can’t marry, yet two asshats who known each other for 6 months can. I just read up on his twitter freak out, it’s entertaining stuff. Who knew he was enough of a douche to call his fans fatties, tell them they should kill themselves, and that he’d never sleep with them. LOL, poor insane little midget man.
He hasn’t made music worth listening to in over a decade, but it’s sad to see him come to this. Back in 1991, I thought he was the epitome of cool.
I agree Devi…..I mean, I”m not proclaiming to have ever thought him to be this deep, deep, deep–no pun intended–man, however, I kinda believed him as a kid when he was just a cool guy that made cool and kick ass music….that didn’t famewhore. He’s always had lots of women, fine, what young man doesn’t….but he was always private when it was real…then, as you get older and feel irrelevant, you pull what he’s pulled from the end of April to now, and well…it’s sad. You don’t let Trent Vanegas–a gossip blogger–have the “exclusive” pics and let Robert Evans photograph your event unless you’re attempting to go Hollywood. He’s sold out completely and I can truly say I never thought it would be him. Even if this were some real whirlwind love affair, the way he’s handled it has been very tacky and it screams “THIS IS BULLSHIT” to me. In fact, whenever I see these two in their stiff poses, and hear their names even my bullshit detector goes off. If you’re in love, you go off and be in love…you don’t have to prove it to anyone, nor do you even care what anyone has to say. You sure as hell aren’t 44 and document it on Twitter.
What a friend of mine said–and it was so true–was that it’s a sad day when Fred Durst–who TR used to mock relentlessly–looks like a gentleman and you look like the famewhore social climber you claimed Durst was 10 years ago. My My My how the tables turn.

The fact is, we don’t know what they’re like in their every day lives. Maybe they really do love each other. I think, as fans of Trent, we should just be happy that he found someone that makes him happy. I’ll admit, I was kinda dissapointed when I heard West Indian Girl’s music (and the fact that she mainly just plays the tambourine and does backup vocals) but that doesn’t really matter.
And to whoever said that “he was always private when it was real”
well maybe he’s just in a good place in his life right now and doesn’t feel the need to hide his personal life.
Whatever. I’m happy that he found a gorgeous girl who he loves.
For the life of me, I just don’t understand what Trent is thinking! Let’s just take a look at things. He decides that NIN needs to retire, get engaged and married all in 6 months. LOL Something is very wrong here. I think this so called wife of his is taking him for the ride of his life and I don’t mean in the bedroom. Maybe one day Trent will wake up and see what everyone else see’s. I wish them the best of luck…because he will need it.
Oh my god – why so bitter, so the man wants to stop non stop touring and live a little, and so what he meets a woman and falls in love and gets married witihin 6 months.
I met my husband and got married in 6 months and we have been together for nearly 10 years.
Whats so bad that he wants to slow down and enjoy life with his wife and maybe have a few kids, he’s happy and content (plus lots of money to enjoy)
Just seems the haters will hate it someone shows that they can smile through everything.
I think it it you lot who need to get a life instead of beating someone else up for enjoying theirs.
