Oprah Winfrey is ending her daytime talk show
Oprah has announced that she will be ending her daytime talk show in 2011, 25-years after the show first debuted.
Oprah is expected to reveal further details on her show Friday, but from what we know, her show will end in Spetember 2011.
A spokesperson for Harpo Productions confirmed the news. “Yes, it’s true that she will be ending her show in September 2011. She will be speaking about it on tomorrow’s live show.”
Of course it’s not like Oprah is going to retire or anything. She’s supposedly going to launch her own cable network, The Oprah Winfrey Network, a.k.a. “OWN”, and I’m sure she has a myriad of other things up her sleeve.
You can’t blame her really. I mean, have any of you been at the same job for 25-years? Exactly!
Its been a long time and Oprah wants to do other things.
Well, my dad has been at the same job for 37 years. He’d had promotions and such during the time, but same place.
