The Tyra Banks Show
The Tyra Banks show will officially end in the spring of 2010, but don’t expect that to be the end of Tyra. The former supermodel says that she has big plans. “My next huge steps will allow me to reach more women and young girls to help us all feel as fierce as we truly are,” she says.
While a lot of people thought The Tyra Banks Show wouldn’t last, they ate their words as Banks’ popularity rose and she walked away with two Daytime Emmy awards.
Tyra says she will miss hosting the show that has centered around the empowerment of young women. She told PEOPLE magazine: “I’ve been loving having fun, coming into your living rooms, bedrooms, hair salons for the past 5 years.”
Banks next move is to nurture her new baby, Bankable Studios, a film production company which will continue to focus on women’s issues.
Fans of America’s Next Top Model need not worry, the show isn’t going anywhere. In fact, it’s 15th season will begin in February.
I like Tyra. Good for her for moving on up. She may be a diva, but she deserves to be. She’s built her empire on her own and has been quite successful. Kudos to her and for being so supportive of young women everywhere.
