Artie Lange Released From Hospital

Howard Stern sidekick Artie Lange had been released from the hospital after recovering from a suicide attempt.

Lange was found by his mother last Saturday morning as she stopped by his apartment to bring him food. Lange had stabbed himself multiple times in an apparent suicide attempt. He was in a pool of blood and was going in and out of consciousness.

Luckily Artie survived the suicide attempt.

The clip above is of the Howard Stern Show yesterday morning. Howard and Robin Quivers discuss the situation with heavy hearts, but also a little anger. Howard’s anger stems from the fact that someone leaked the story to Page Six. You can’t blame him. Artie has been a great friend of Stern’s for years. It’s easy to talk about something like this if you don’t personally know the person, but when you do, it’s a very, very touchy, heart wrenching thing to discuss or even comprehend. So I understand where Howard and Robin are coming from.

Wishing nothing but the best for Artie, or for anyone who is in such a dark place.

    It is sad when anyone does something like that, especially because his mother found him after such a savage suicide attempt. I am sure his entire family and his friends are beyond horrified and feeling protective and frightened for him. I think page 6 should have left him alone, as they should have left Alexa Joel alone. This isn’t something that is for public consumption, also what a great way to trigger another attempt due to public exposure at your very lowest. I agree the person who made this public should be ashamed, God help them if Howard finds out who they are, he’ll make their life a misery. Hope he gets the help he needs and recovers.
